The first time I saw Dustin and his Dad was in Wahoo, Nebraska, at the Wahoo Country Music Show, probably in about 2002.
After that I saw him at Avoca, Iowa, at the National Traditional Old Time Country Music Festival. One day I tried
looking up Dustin Hunt on the computer and came across his web page. I signed his guest book, and the next thing I knew
I had an email from him telling me to say 'hi' the next time I saw him and his dad so he would know who I was. The next
time I saw him was in Papillion, Nebraska, so I introduced myself, and the rest, as they say is history. We have become
good friends since then and I look forward to seeing him whenever I can. I went to a show sponsored by Sharon and Roger
Kenaston in Nebraska where Dustin was the featured act as Hank Williams. That performance was awesome. Dustin
has been rather ill for the last couple of years and I haven't seen him as much as I would like. I did get to see him
twice this summer and was happy about that.
Dustin has written a number of great country songs, with my favorite being "Right Where We Belong."
Dustin won a Hank Williams Look Alike contest in 1996. I took a friend of mine to see him one time and she said
he even has the same mannerisms as Hank.
